Privacy policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

This page explains, in plain English, what we do with the details you give us through this website. The short version: we only use them to reply to you, and we don’t sell them to anyone.

Who we are

This website is run by Keep Calm and Beer It (Keep Calm and Beer It Group), which runs The New Builders Arms, The Bowling Green and The Hope Tavern in Leamington Spa. For anything to do with your data, email keepcalmandbeerit@gmail.com or call 07948 081543.

What we collect

When you send a private hire enquiry, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number, which pub you’re interested in, the occasion, your preferred date, the number of guests and your message.

We don’t ask for anything else, and you don’t need an account to use this site.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange your booking.
  • That’s it. We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.

Our lawful basis is that you’ve asked us to get back to you about a booking (taking steps before entering into a contract), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Who sees it

  • The team at the pub you choose (and the group inbox), by email.
  • Resend, the service that delivers the form to us by email.
  • Google, which hosts our pubs’ email inboxes.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.

These companies only process your details to provide their service to us. Some of them may store data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or booking, and then delete them. [CONFIRM: retention period, e.g. 12 months]

Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages are popular and how fast the site loads. They don’t use cookies, don’t track you across other websites and only give us anonymous, combined numbers – so there’s no cookie banner.

If you open the map on a pub page, Google Maps loads and Google’s own privacy policy applies to it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or ask us to delete them. Just email keepcalmandbeerit@gmail.com.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
